Mandazi

Ingredients:
1 beaten egg
½ cup of sugar
½ cup of milk
2 tablespoons of melted butter
2 cups of white flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
Procedure:
Gather all your ingredients.
Mix all your ingredients together, adding more flour if necessary.
The dough should soft, but not sticky.
Roll the dough on a lightly floured board until about ¼ of an inch thick.
Cut the dough into triangles
Deep fry the triangles in hot oil until both sides are golden brown.
Remove the mandazi from the oil.
Drain out all the oil from the mandazi using a paper towel.
Optional: Sprinkle the mandazi with powdered sugar.
